MI posters are due today.  If they are not turned in they will be accepted as late.

WW unit 2 is due Friday.

Tuck Everlasting

We will begin reading the novel Tuck Everlasting.  This will be done in class over the next couple of weeks.  Students will take quizzes and be responsible for vocabulary as part of this unit.

Book projects will be assigned at the end of the month.  The kids should all be reading their self-selected novels at home and during A and E.

WW 2 is due on Friday.   Sections A,B,C, and D need to be completed in the Wordly Wise book.  A full one-page story with 10 WW words is also due on Friday.

M.I. Pictures

- Students should bring 6-10 pictures for their M.I. poster to class by Thursday. These pictures can be printed from the internet, cut from a magazine or newspaper, personal photographs or be drawn. They should represent ONE of your top two strengths.

-Continue to work on Wordly Wise homework. The following are due Friday: Cursive/pretest sheet, Wordly Wise packet A,B,C & D, ten word/one page story.

Week of Sept. 14

Today the classes were assigned their first week of Wordly Wise.  They must complete the unit one packet sections 1-A, B, C, D for Friday.  The other half of the assignment is to write a one-page essay using ten of the week’s words.

We began our unit on multiple intelligences.  We will look at how each of the students learns best and will custom fit our teaching toward this information.  Students filled out a survey and graphed the results.  We will all be making a poster to represent our MI later this week.

Keep reading your S.S.R. books.  We are half way through the month and the book project will be assigned in about two weeks.

That being said, these are some things that parents and students need to read and understand fully:

Weblogs ARE NOT intended to replace assignment notebooks. These are designed to support them.

Teachers will use these weblogs AS THEY SEE FIT. Not all teachers will post assignments every day. Some teachers might simply choose to include upcoming tests and long-term assignments, or may not use them at all.

DO NOT RELY on these postings. As you know, the teaching day can get busy and assignments might not be accurate on certain days. This is why the assignment notebook should be the primary tool for keeping track of assignments.
