Tuck Everlasting Quiz is Tuesday – Study vocabulary for chapters 7-13. Use the study strategies that we reviewed last week (hint – make flashcards!!)
Reminder: The book project is due on Thursday, October 2nd.

All 6th grade students must have an S.S.R. book with them at all times.
The class was assigned their monthly book project. This project is to be done using the book the students self-selected for their monthly S.S.R. genre.
There are 7 different options that work with addressing students multiple intelligences learning styles.
The completed project is due on Thursday, October 2.
Students have a D.O.L. to complete for class on Thurs.
We continued to work on Tuck and looked at addressing students learning/study habits and reflected on the first Tuck test.
Most Tuck Everlasting quizes were passed back today. We reviewed study and test-taking strategies that may be new to many students in sixth grade. Book projects will be assigned tomorrow – more information to come. Thanks to all who have visited this site and left comments. We are enjoying reading them all!

We will continue to read Tuck out of our literate book. We could have a quiz by the end of the week. Study the vocabulary from this next section.

We will begin reading Tuck Everlasting this week.
All L.A. students will be visiting the book fair on Wednesday to browse the selections. We will return on Friday to purchase books.
Our first full week of school! We will be starting our discussion of multiple intelligences this week. Students will be completing surveys to determine their strengths and weaknesses. They will be required to find pictures from magazines, the internet etc. to represent their strongest learning style. These pictures will be used in the creation of personal posters. More info. to come.

Pretest with print and cursive completed.
One page story using 10 words that have been highlighted, underlined or circled.
D.O.L. – Daily Oral Language – Due Wednesday & Thursday
Sentences should be edited and rewritten correctly. Parts of speech should be identified above the appropriate words.
Letters of expectations should be signed by a parent and the student and returned to the teacher by Wednesday.
Book Orders are due on Friday!
