The students have been working on D.O.L. and have had to look at nouns, verbs, adjectives, and articles. This will be an ongoing process throughout the year.
Today we will introduce students to the MI (Multiple Intelligences) theory. The class will take a survey to see how they learn, what their strengths and weaknesses are, and how they can be more productive students in the classroom. This teaching methodology is one that we use on many projects and learning activities during the year.

Complete pages 7(1-13), 8(1-15), and 9(1-6). Write a one-page story using ten spelling words.
This is due on Friday.
Bring in D.O.L. from last week to be checked for Tuesday.

Today we started presenting summer projects to the class. Students are being graded on a rubric which they received at the end of last year.
Looking ahead, we will be working on daily oral language D.O.L. This handout will be due on Friday. Spelling homework due Friday.

Unit one of spelling has been assigned. The class needs to complete all of pages 3 and 4. They also have to work on numbers 1-4 on page 5. A one-page story using ten of the weeks speling words is also due this Friday.
