Spelling Unit 31. Complete pages 133 and 134 ALL, and 1-4 on 135. Also write a one-page story.
Hatchet will be completed this week. Read chapters 16-end. This is done in class and at home. Finish study guide, vocabulary, and sentences for Wednesday.
Spelling is due tomorrow and we are having the Hatchet quiz on chapters 10-15. Study the vocabulary!

Spelling Unit 30- pages 128-129 ALL, and a 10 word, one-page story.
We just completed our assessment on chapters 5-9. Our next quiz will be Friday. All vocabulary and sentences, study guide questions and required reading is due on Thursday. We have devoted four class periods this week to this work. We read the through chapter 12 today in class. This served as a refresher for many of the kids. Thursday we will finish up any work and have a review for Friday’s quiz.
We had a review of chapters 1-4 today. Students must study notes and vocabulary for Thursday’s quiz.
We are working on chapter 29 of spelling. We skipped 28 because it was all abreviations. Pages 123,124, all and 1 and 2 on page 125. The class is starting Hatchet this week. It is a great novel about survival. We will have our first quiz this week. The class needs to read chapters 1-4 and answer the study guide questions. They also have vocabulary they must define and write sentences for. This is due on Wednesday.
Today we worked on our “Hatchling Turtles” summary. Don’t forget spelling is due Thursday.
Today we took our preposition quiz. We also read a short story called, “Hatchling Turtles” in out literature book. The class did a reading for information test on the short story. We passed out our book report options for the March book. The class will turn in the project on April 10. They can pick any ONE of the seven choices.
Study your 40 word preposition song for Tuesday’s quiz. We have practiced a song to help the class remember how to identify a preposition. Tuesday we will take a quiz.
