Door Quiz Thursday
The class worked for the last time on Door in the Wall. They have had 55 pages to read over the last two weeks. 25 pages were read to them in class. We also have worked on the study guide. One page of answers was given to them. This is due on Thursday. Vocabulary numbers 26-51 are also due on Thursday. In class on Thursday we will have a review one period and the next class will be the quiz. BE READY! SOME OF YOU HAVE NOT DONE THE WORK ON YOUR END AND HAVE A LOT TO DO THE NEXT FEW DAYS……….
Week of January 29
Spelling homework for the week- pages 81, 82 all/numbers 1-4 on page 83. 10 word/one page story due Friday.

Verb Quiz
Verb quiz on Thursday!! We had a review in class today. We also started work on our verb action pictures.
Verb- It’s what you do.
We studied verbs in the grammar book. Students were exposed to action, linking, and helping verbs. We will continue the lesson tomorrow. The verb quiz is Thursday. CMT review also started today. We discussed test taking strategies.
January 22, 2007
Unit 18 of spelling was assigned. Pages 76 and 77-all.
We began reading the second half of Door in the Wall. Quiz will be sometime next week. Class will continue to complete study guide and answer definitions.
Quiz Friday!!
Today we had a 45 minute review for the Door in the Wall quiz. We went over study guide questions, vocabulary, and discussed areas that students found difficult to understand. Good luck on the quiz.
Door in the Wall Quiz
The review for Friday’s Door in the Wall quiz is Thursday. THe 25 vocabulary words are due. I gave the class 17 of the 25 definitions. The study guide up to page 75 in the reading is also due. We will have the review and clarify any questions the class may have on the quiz.
Spelling Unit 17 and Door in the Wall
The class was assigned spelling homework. Unit 17 work will consist of pages 71, #1-12, 72, #1-12, and 73, #1-4. As always, a one page spelling story is due.
In addition to this, students need to be reading Door in the Wall. The test is on Friday. We will review in class on Thursday. The study guide and vocab packet are due Thursday. We have had many classes devoted to the reading of this novel. Many students will need to take the work home to finish in time for the test and review.

Students should be up to page 32 in the Door in the Wall. If they have not read to that point in class it was assigned for homework. Continued work on vocabulary is a must! The class needs to define words through chapter 4 for next Wednesday.
